Conducting undergraduate research provides an opportunity to:

• Solidify knowledge gained in advanced (3000 or 4000 level) economics courses
• Gain hands-on experience in economics research
• Improve one’s resume and graduate school prospects
• Receive a strong recommendation letter from a faculty member

Economics undergraduate students can get involved in research within the following frameworks:

• Independent Study Course (ECON 4398)
• Senior Honors Thesis
• Office of Undergraduate Research and Major Awards Programs (HERE/SURF/PURS)
